Boker Plus Joule Reinhold D2 Wharncliffe Black G10 Frame Lock Folder 01BO316
Designed by custom maker Michael Reinhold, the Boker Plus Joule is a handy frame lock folder with a compact Wharncliffe blade ideal as a box cutter or other small to medium daily cutting tasks. Satin finished D2 blade steel and a custom pivot are the only stylistic elements on this spartan EDC utility knife. The Joule comes with a black G10 scale, stainless frame lock and D2 tool steel blade.
Brand new, direct from Boker Knives.
Blade: Coming in at under 2.5 inches, the flat ground, D2 Wharncliffe blade opens via dual thumb studs and offers solid slicing performance with plenty of point for piercing and fine work. The blade is delivered with a fine satin finish with a subtle thumb ramp and index guard for added safety.
Handle: A brushed stainless steel frame lock delivers solid and secure operation while the G10 front scale provides good traction enhanced by subtle milled finger grooves. Chamfered edges on both sides make for a comfortable grip. Construction is completed with a G10 partial back spacer, stainless Torx hardware, custom pivot and lanyard tube.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, stainless steel deep carry clip.
D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
