The Leviathan from Boker Plus is another design collaboration with custom maker Jason B. Stout. His creations are incredibly sought-after and built for hard use and the Leviathan is no exception. More compact than the Lateralus, the Leviathan is just as durable and utilitarian. This version comes with a D2 tool steel blade, stainless steel front scale and stainless steel frame lock side.

Blade: The sweeping, reverse Tanto point blade is made from stonewashed D2 tool steel and rides on a ball bearing pivot for fast, smooth deployment via the blade hole or index flipper. A deep hollow ground forward swedge delivers a fine piercing point while the tapering flat grind offers good slicing performance and durability.

Handle: A fully stonewashed steel frame lock side pairs with a matching steel front to offer a robust yet comfortable handle. Stout's stepped groove milling adds traction and visual appeal crating a faux bolster area near the pivot. The steel frame lock construction is tough yet smooth to operate while interior milling on both scales reduces the overall weight. Construction is completed with a jimped partial backspacer for added traction.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
