Boker has teamed up with Midgars-Messer founder Dirk Hofmeister to bring his Urd 2.0 neck knife to the production market. This beefy neck knife sports black G10 handles and a D2 tool steel blade. The really interesting aspect of the Urd 2.0 is that it can be customized with different handles (5) and sheaths (3) which can be 3D printed by the customer via downloadable files available for sale from Boker. You can also utilize Midgards-Messer printing service as well.

Blade: The robust 4.7 mm thick, full tang blade is made from D2 tool steel with a nearly full height flat grind for durability and slicing performance. The cleaver-like Sheepsfoot blade has a forward blade hole and dual fullers for style and a heavily stonewashed finish to hide wear from use. The full spine is jimped and acts as a thumb scoop for added comfort and security in the grip.

Handle: Coarse black G10 handle scales offer a solid 3-finger grip with the ring finger setting right into the end of the fishtail handle design. The full spine of the blade acts as a thumb scoop with jimping that runs from the tip all the way up the handle for excellent traction and control. Want a different handle material or design? Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with ball chain for neck carry.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
