Solingen Castle Burg Knives

Boker's corporate history can be traced back to 1674, when the tree was first entered as the company's trade symbol for tools and is closely connected to the Bergisches Land and its iconic landmark, Castle Burg. In an act of historic preservation Boker has taken ancient solid oak planks being removed as part of an historic restoration and skillfully turned them into handle scales that can are being used in a limited series of Boker Schloss Burg traditional slip joint folder. In addition to the Oak scales, the Burg Castle (Schloss Burg) knives also feature brass liners and blades made from acid washed O1 carbon steel. These pieces are produced in limited edition runs of 1133 pieces worldwide, the year of completion of the castle.
