Case Rough Black

Case has revived a classic concept first produced around the World War II era, known as a "Gum Fuddy" knife. The term "Gum Fuddy" referred to the innovative rough black synthetic handle material used in these traditionally styled folders. As the more common handle materials became scarce during war time, the Case knife manufacturer was forced to find an alternate material for use in the handles of their knives and hence, the rough black synthetic was born. The Rough Black Case series consists of eight patterns with renewed use of gum fuddy (rough black synthetic) handles, tru-sharp stainless steel blades, nickel silver bolsters and oval Case shields.
