The Tighe Down model from custom maker Brian Tighe is a sleek, button lock flipper that pushes the bounds of the modern tactical folder platform. Innovative knife designs are Mr. Tighe's forte and the organic milled lines of the Tighe Down are the cornerstone of his signature, iconic design aesthetic. An integral construction keeps the lines of this knives very clean highlighting the organic lines and eye-catching materials. This piece has a compound ground, harpoon tip RWL-34 blade and titanium handle with Blue FatCarbon inlays, titanium pivot collar and clip.

Blade: The hand rubbed satin RWL-34 blade glides on Brian's STBS (Sealed Thrust Bearings System) for some of the smoothest operation on the planet and deploys via dual thumb studs or the index flipper. A compound ground Harpoon tip blade provides an excellent combination of strength and cutting performance as well as strong visual lines to complement the overall design of the knife. The satin finished blade contrasts nicely with the matte gray of the handles and features a subtle orange peel texture along the spine for added appeal.

Handle: A solid piece matte gray blasted titanium is milled to create the integral handle. The fluted pattern on the sides give the knife a very organic and futuristic look, a Brian Tighe signature, with a stunning look from the blue FatCarbon carbon fiber inlays on both sides. The Tighe Down has less aggressive finger grooves than other models for a cleaner look while still being very secure in the hand. The smooth, robust button lock provides secure lock up and a custom pivot with satin finished titanium pivot collars to complete this outstanding piece. The pommel end has a contoured milled channel for lanyard attachment. Includes a signature Brian Tighe zipper pouch.

RWL-34: RWL34, named after the world famous knife maker Robert W Loveless, was developed by Damasteel as a powder metallurgy version of the Japanese ATS34. RWL34 offers high strength and toughness combined with extreme edge sharpness that is easy to maintain. RWL34 most appreciated features among knife makers are the ease to work with and the ability to mirror polish finish. Preforms similarly to CPM-154.
