The Buck 981 Dagger is a highly limited production display piece released as part of Buck's Legacy Collection. Sold without a sheath, this is a true collectors' piece and, as such, made in a Limited production of 200 pieces. The double edge, dagger blade is made of polished 420HC stainless steel with handles of Redwood and Maple Burl wood with polished nickel silver pommel and guard. Made in the USA and backed by the Buck "Forever" Warranty.

Blade: Made from high polished, Bos treated 420HC stainless steel, the Dagger blade is striking with its symmetrical hollow grinds and spiked and file worked ricasso. The dual plain edges are recurves for additional aesthetic appeal and while this would make a powerful combat tool the 981 Dagger will be a jewel in your Buck Collection.

Handle: The traditional barrel shaped handle is made from Redwood burl with Maple Burl spacers on either 'flat' and offset by red fiber liners. Deep and rich, the burl wood handles contrast nicely with the bright polish of the blade and polished nickel silver striker pommel and double guard.

Legacy Edition: Comes with a Walnut wood, glass top display box and Certificate of Authenticity. No sheath.

Bos Heat Treated 420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With the Bos heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
