Matthew J. Leathers was a highly decorated US Navy SEAL that sadly lost his life in a deep sea diving exercise. During his nine years as a SEAL, his courage and unflinching devotion to duty gave rise to the phrase "Matt Would Go" by the leadership of SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One. Matthew was known as a perfectionist and had designed a knife that would hold up to his high standards. It was created out of a coil spring from a scrapped HUMVEE and forged in his own homemade forge. Matthew's father, Tim, created the Matt Would Go company as a tribute and has partnered with Buck to bring the knife to market. This tough hard use knife has a 5160 spring steel drop point blade with a black coating. The tang runs full length into a sharp point at the butt with jimping on the spine in two places and features deep finger grooves. Highlighting the design are custom camo themed multi-color micarta handles that have been bolted-on. Includes a textured Kydex sheath with a TEK-LOK belt clip.
Donated Sales, a percentage of net sales benefit the MattWouldGo™ LLC, which in turn donates to Navy SEAL Foundation.
