The Blade: Stainless 420J2 offers great toughness and corrosion resistance with good edge retention, ease of sharpening and razor sharpness. The super thin, full flat grind is superb at slicing and provides a high level of control needed for fillet work. Just enough flex in the blade ensures you're not leaving behind any of the good stuff while the sweeping belly makes easy work of tough skin and scales. The trailing point blade opens via dual thumbstuds for easy, ambidextrous operation even in wet conditions.

The Handle: The handles of the Mr. Crappie Folding Slab Shaver are bright yellow nylon for high visibility with rubber overmold for enhanced traction. A simple and sturdy back lock mechanism offers secure lockup during use and thanks to the central placement it is easy to disengage single-handedly. The back lock construction also makes it a fully ambidextrous knife. A stainless steel lanyard loop offers an added level of security as well as a place to attach a snap-ring for carry.
