The 0557ODS is the Pro Series Folding Skinner knife now in a lock back configuration with a blade made from CPM S35VN with a contoured OD Green Micarta. The Blade: BOS Heat Treated CPM S35VN offers enhanced toughness over S30V while still delivering excellent edge holding and corrosion resistance. The high hollow ground, recurve blade easily slices though the toughest hides. The large belly of the blade paired with index jimping near the tip offer a high level of precision and control needed for fine skinning work. A deep finger coil forms an integral finger guard providing additional security in the hand as well as enhanced control for powerful cutting. The Folding Skinner opens smoothly via a spine mounted thumb disk offering a truly ambidextrous knife.

The Handle: The sweeping handles of the 557 are made from contoured OD Green canvas Micarta with milled traction grooves set atop robust stainless steel liners. Micarta is super durable, weather resistant and high traction material that provides a secure grip even in wet conditions. A simple yet robust back lock mechanism delivers reliable lockup during use and is placed in the center of the handle for easy, ambidextrous access. A stainless steel, deep carry clip is set up for right hand, tip-up carry.
