Byrd Crow 2 Black G-10 Satin BD1 Plain Edge 09GP2

The Crow 2 from Byrd Knives is an excellent choice right in that small to medium sweet spot folding knife category with many desirable attributes. The latest version has updates including open handle construction for easier maintenance, skeletonized liners with comfy G-10 covers and the star blade showing off gorgeous satin finished American Made CTS-BD1 steel from Carpenter Technologies.

The Blade: Just over 2 inches of extra slicey upgraded BD1 goodness formed to a proper spear point finished with a pristine satin glow. Forward jimping for the index and the thumb create controlled, confident cutting every time. An ambidextrous Comet shaped thumb hole opener provides quick access with Nylon washers at the pivot for smooth action. Just a joy to operate with a steel you can count on.

The Handle: Solid full length stainless steel liners are skeletonized for weight reduction and make a solid foundation with one forming the lockup when open. Finely textured black G-10 scales are attached via Torx construction providing long term cutting comfort. A couple barrel spacers and lanyard tube leave the Raven 2 wide open for easy cleaning and disassembly. 

Includes a silver stainless steel pocket clip that can be flipped for left or right tip up carry.

CTS-BD1: Carpenter's analog to Sandvik 19c27, CTS-BD1 is a durable stainless steel that takes a fine edge, is easy to sharpen and has corrosion resistance similar to that of 440C. BD1 is tougher than D2 with good edge stability for a razor sharp edge and wear resistance similar to that of 154CM.
