Byrd Meadowlark 2 Black G-10 Plain Satin Edge 04GP2

The Meadowlark 2 from Byrd Knife is an everyday size tool for typical tasks to rescue use and everything in-between. Its textured black G-10 handle is comfortable and strong for durability no matter the hand size, gloved or otherwise. This version comes in black G-10 with a satin plain cutting edge blade and is fully ambidextrous.

The Blade: Just about 2.5 inches of slicey, freshly sharpened cutting edge for the Meadowlark 2 with a plain cutting edge. The spear shape is fully flat ground and comes to a piercing point creating a super slicer for tough tasks and lunch. Its comet shaped hole opener makes for easy one hand, left or right, opening with smooth bronze washer action. The pristine satin finish is timeless and will develop its own unique look over time. 

The Handle: Heavy duty stainless steel liners are skeletonized and support finely textured black G-10 scales smoothed around the edges for a comfortable grip. It has a forward choil for choking up on finer cutting tasks with Torx construction. Machined divots accent the back half of the spacer. A super strong lock back mechanism keeps the blade in place while you work. 

Includes a silver stainless steel pocket clip that can be attached in any of the four pre-drilled positions creating absolutely ambidextrous carry. 

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
