Details
Reminiscent of an actual gun stock, the large Case Gunstock pattern is based on the Bartender's Knife with a "130" pattern frame and two-blade configuration. This version comes with Pocket Worn Peach Seed Jigged Antique Bone covers and two satin polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades: one spear and one pen.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co., USA.
Blades: Dual Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades originate from the "barrel" end of the gun stock frame. Both are satin polish finished and full flat grind with the larger spear point blade handling the heavy work and the spear-like pen blade tackling fine detail work. Both blades open via long pull nail nicks.
Handle: The rugged Antique Bone covers are fit between two sets of polished nickel silver bolsters and have a great in-hand feel with Peach Seed Jigged texture and a Pocket Worn finish. The covers are attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style. The front cover sports a Case Propeller shield while dual stainless steel back springs deliver smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation.
Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case's proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
