Details
Reminiscent of an actual gun stock, the large Case Gunstock pattern is based on the Bartender's knife with a "130" pattern frame and two-blade configuration. This version comes with smooth black Micarta covers and two Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades: one spear and one pen.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, USA.
Blades: Dual Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades originate from the "barrel" end of the gun stock frame. Both are finished in a tumbled satin polish and full flat ground, with the larger spear point blade handling the heavy work and the spear-like pen blade tackling fine detail work. Both blades open via long pull nail nicks.
Handle: The rugged smooth black Micarta covers are fit between two sets of brushed nickel silver bolsters and have a great in-hand feel with the durability and weather resistance of a modern composite and plenty of rustic style. The covers are attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style. The front cover sports a Case Arrowhead shield while dual stainless steel back springs deliver smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation.
Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case's proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
