The Half Whittler '08WH is a two-bladed version of the Whittler '08 patterns, with a clip point master blade on one end and a pen blade on the other. The Whittler pattern has been around for nearly 80 years, and they've put a lot of wood chips on the floor. This version comes with Tru-Sharp stainless-steel blades, polished nickel silver bolsters and handsome smooth Autumn Maple Burl wood covers.

Blades: This is a traditional Half Whittler pattern with one full-size clip point at one end and a compact pen blade at the other. Both blades are bright polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel with shallow hollow grinds and nail nick openers. The blades open smoothly with a solid full stop and solid back spring pressure for a consistent feel.

Handle: Framed by polished nickel silver bolsters are smooth wood covers of stunning Maple Burl that deliver exceptional visual appeal while having a warm feel in the hand. They are attached to brass liners with brass pins in the traditional style. A Case Diamond shield adorns the front scale, while full length back springs protect the blades and provide smooth slip joint operation.

Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
