Details
The Stockman is believed to be a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version comes with rugged and handsome Peach Seed jigged brown bone covers and polished Tru-Sharp blades.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades come with a bright polished satin and are equipped with generous nail nicks for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handle: The rugged brown bone covers are fit between two sets of polished nickel silver bolsters and have a great in-hand feel with Peach Seed jigged texture for traction. Traditional brass pin and liner construction houses the blades and stainless steel back springs which deliver smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment, it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
