Details
Considered a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern, the Case Stockman shares several similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This premium version comes with stonewashed CPM-S35VN blades, burnt amber bone covers with Crandall jig, and brushed bolsters.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blade: The CPM-S35VN stainless steel blades come with a rugged stonewashed finish, full flat grinds and blade hole cutouts for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. Full flat grinds provide good cutting ability with added strength while S35VN provides modern performance.
Handle: Brushed nickel silver bolsters frame Crandall jig burnt amber bone covers for a rustic look and tactile feel. Brass liners house the blades and springs which deliver snappy slip joint operation. The handle front sports a polished Case XX oval shield.
CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has better edge retention and toughness compared to 440C or VG10, with equivalent corrosion resistance.
