Details
The small, serpentine-shaped jack knife from Case knives known as the Peanut makes a great choice for dress carry and easily finds a home in a fifth pocket or coin pocket. This version comes equipped with two polished Tru-Sharp blades mounted at the same end of the elegantly curved handle with tool worked bolsters and handsome smooth Ebony wood covers.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, USA.
Blades: Both blades are made from high polish Tru-Sharp stainless steel and opened via generous nail nicks. Full height hollow grinds offer great slicing performance on the thin blades: one a Long Clip Point opened from the front and the other, a small Pen blade, opened from the back.
Handle: Smooth, dark Ebony wood covers offer a warm feel and a handsome, classic look. The scales are framed by tool worked nickel silvers bolsters and outfitted with a polished Case Bowtie shield. The scales are attached to brass liners with brass pins in the traditional style. Slip joint operation with solid half-stop makes for smooth and secure operation.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
