A Case exclusive pattern that was introduced in 2000. The knife’s namesake is “Russ” Case, the company founder. The unique design offers one-handed opening using the extended Tang of the blade which functions like those found on traditional straight razors or friction folding knives with the added security of a stainless steel liner lock. This version comes with a Chrome Vanadium (CV) blade and Dark Red Jigged Bone covers.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. Made in the USA.
Blade: Made from satin polished Chrome Vanadium or CV steel the RussLock comes with a single, large Clip Point blade for general utility and fine work. Instead of a traditional nail nick the RussLock blade opens with one hand via the tang lever, much like a friction folder.
Handle: Dual, polished nickel silver bolsters frame standard Jig textured Dark Red Bone scales for a rugged, timeless look and warm in-hand feel. The scales are pinned to Stainless Steel liners in the traditional fashion. Solid, stainless back spring protects the blade when closed while a liner lock mechanism provides secure lockup for safe operation of the knife.
Case Chrome Vanadium: Case proprietary carbon steel based on 1086 or 1095 with added chrome and vanadium for enhanced performance. Non-stainless steel will form a natural patina and can rust if not handled appropriately.
