Details
The rounded frame shape resembling the that of a sow's belly gave this heavy duty, cattleman/stockman style knife its name over a century ago. A favorite pattern among collectors this single blade Sowbelly sports Case's classic Yellow Delrin covers and offers the thinness of a single blade folder making it an excellent choice for every day utility use.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
The Blade: Equipped with a flat ground blade of Chrome Vanadium steel the Sowbelly offers plenty of belly and point for great utility performance. A polished satin finish makes this a great looking blade as well and it opens via a generous nail nick with smooth action.
The Handle: Nickel Silver bolsters frame classic Yellow Delrin covers fitted with brass pins to brass liners. The front cover sports an Oval Shield. Slipjoint operation allows for easy, one-hand operation and provides simple and secure operation of the knife while in use. The downward angle of the handle helps lock it securely in the hand and delivers a negative blade angle that enhances cutting power.
