The popular Case Trapper has been produced since the 1920's and was designed with trapping and skinning blades and a lightweight platform making it an essential tool for those who trap small game. The Trapper is a jack knife with two full length blades: a slender clip and a long spey. This two-blade combo handles both general and specialized tasks. This Tiny version is perfect for fifth pocket and daily carry and comes with Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades and Blue Denim Peach Seed Jig Bone covers.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades: Both blades are made from high polish Tru-Sharp stainless steel and is opened via a generous nail nick from the front of the knife. High height hollow grinds offer great slicing performance on the thin blades: one a robust Spey blade and the other a Long Clip Point which defines the Trapper pattern.
Handle: Nickel Silver bolsters frame Blue Denim bone covers fitted with brass pins to brass liners and outfitted with Peach Seed jigging for added traction. The front cover sports a Case Bombshell Script shield. Slip joint operation offers simple and smooth non-locking operation of both blades from the top bolster.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
