Chad Nell Custom Gent Satin AEB-L Toxic Titanium Frame Lock Flipper

The Chad Nell Custom Gent is a clean and utilitarian design that is well adapted to dress and every day carry. This is a robust, titanium frame lock flipper that doesn't sacrifice function for style and has both in spades. This version features a hand rubbed satin finished AEB-L stainless steel blade, milled and contoured titanium handles, titanium pocket clip, standoffs and pivot collar rings.

Blade: The clean, drop point profile blade is made from hand rubbed satin finished, AEB-L stainless steel with a beautifully crowned spine for that custom feel. The utilitarian profile is complemented by the top swedge and shallow hollow grind that offer excellent piercing and slicing performance respectively. The blade rides on a caged bearing pivot for fast, smooth flipper deployment with a well dialed in detent for decisive action.

Handle: The simple, spartan handle design is ergonomically designed and contoured for comfort in the hand. A few subtle adornments are offered for style: Titanium pivot collars, and polish-chamfered tapering holes. The last of which also offer indexing in the hand and added traction. The integral titanium frame lock is rock solid and smooth to operate and the the knife is completed with Torx hardware, titanium lock bar stabilizer and titanium standoffs. The stunning finish known as Toxic Ti offers a acid-darkened heat finish offering a completely unique appearance.

Bohler AEB-L: Originally developed for razor blades and described as a stainless 52100 AEB-L takes a very fine edge, is easy to sharpen and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is good with excellent stability (resistance to rolling and chipping) which allows for a thinner edge and better cutting performance. Sandvik 13C26 is a copy of AEB-L.
