Chad Nell Custom Gent UDT Björkmans Twist Damasteel Kraken Black Timascus Flipper

This is the first ever, full dress Gent UDT from custom maker Chad Nell, and it is a stand out piece that is sure to catch the eye. This tactically inspired flipper has been decked out to the nines with a Björkmans Twist Damasteel blade and Kraken Black Timascus handle scales and clip. While visually stunning the Gent UDT retains a robust and utilitarian design making it appealing to users and collectors alike.

Blade: This is the first ever Chad Nell custom with a Damasteel blade and it looks fantastic. The Gent UDT has a harpoon-style Tanto profile with clean lines that highlight the visually striking blade material. Jimping at the spine provides traction while the compound grind (flat tip and hollow primary edge) deliver and excellent balance of performance if you choose to use this custom showpiece. The blade rides on a caged bearing pivot and deploys via the flipper tab with exceptional smoothness and speed thanks to the dialed in detent.

Handle: While the Damasteel blade is beautiful the Kraken Black Timascus is the star of the show with a dramatic show of pattern and color. Black hardware is subdued allowing the handle material to really shine. Orange peel textured titanium liners support the scales and form the liner lock mechanism that is smooth and solid and construction is rounded out with a polished zirconium backspacer.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, 3D machined Kraken Black Timascus pocket clip.

Includes "C. Nell Utah, USA" embroidered nylon zipper pouch and signed/dated Specs card from the maker.

Damasteel: A high hardness, high corrosion resistant steel that combines two martensitic stainless steels - RWL34 and PMC27 - in unique patterns that, when etched, create the designs seen in the blade. Damasteel delivers a blade that is very eye-catching and has performance in the realm of RWL34, similar to CPM154.
