Evolved from the Trico flipper, the Podium is a gentleman's tactical liner lock front flipper from custom knife maker Chad Nell. Compact and robust, the Podium has style to spare while being a highly functional and utilitarian cutting tool that perfectly blends form and function. This piece has a hand rubbed satin, AEB-L Tanto blade, jeweled titanium liners, copper shred carbon fiber handle scales, copper pivot collars and a zirconium clip.

Blade: The compound ground Tanto blade is made from AEB-L stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. Ground with a shallow hollow grind on the primary edge and flat grind on the point, the blade has a full length swedge delivering powerful performance in a sub-2.5 inch length. The ball bearing pivot provides smooth operation with fast or controlled opening via the angled, low profile top flipper that is jimped for positive traction.

Handle: Thick titanium liners support dazzling copper shred carbon fiber scales for lightweight performance and style. Minimalist in design, the handle has clean lines with a compact form factor similar in size to an 84 mm Swiss Army Knife and are subtly contoured for comfort in the hand. The liners are engine turned jeweled on the inside for a truly custom feel. The liner lock mechanism is smooth in operation and delivers rock solid lockup for safe use. Construction is completed with black titanium Torx hardware with copper pivot collars and matching copper shred carbon fiber back spacer.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, 3D machined zirconium pocket clip.

Bohler AEB-L: Originally developed for razor blades and often described as a stainless 52100, AEB-L takes a very fine edge, is easy to sharpen and has a high toughness with good corrosion resistance. Excellent edge stability (resistance to rolling and chipping) allows for a thinner edge and better cutting performance. Sandvik 13C26 is an analog of AEB-L.
