Chris Reeve Large Inkosi Black Micarta Inlays Frame Lock Folder
The Large Inkosi, Zulu for 'Chief', is the latest advancement in knife making technology from Chris Reeve Knives. This model lives up to that name with several improvements over past models made during the last 30 years of Chris Reeve production. This version comes with a stonewashed, CPM-S35VN drop point blade and blasted titanium frame lock handle with Black Canvas Micarta inlays.
Brand new, direct from Chris Reeve Knives, USA.
Blade: A classic drop point blade of CPM-S35VN is now stronger with the introduction of CRK's Large Hollow Grind technology. Halfway between a full flat grind and their standard hollow grind, the Large Hollow gains strength while retaining the proven sharpening longevity of the hollow grind. A strengthened pivot with larger stop pin and oversized twin phosphor bronze washers with larger grease pockets (less surface area friction) provide hydraulic smooth deployment via the dual titanium thumb lugs, standard on the Inkosi. Washer diameter wider than the blade ensures zero sideways play.
Handle: The full titanium frame has ergonomic finger grooves and canvas Micarta inlays for a comfortable and secure grip in the hand. A ceramic ball lock face provides a lifetime of consistent lockup and changes to the pocket clip eliminate pressure on the lock bar making easier to operate the integral frame lock. The Inkosi is an iconic representation of what customers have come to expect from Chris Reeve Knives.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up only titanium pocket clip.
Includes a microfiber cloth, small tube fluorinated grease, LocTite, Allen keys and information packet.
CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
