Chris Reeve Large Inkosi S45VN Tanto Blade Black Micarta Inlays

The Large Inkosi, which means "Chief in Zulu", is the latest advancement in knife making technology from Chris Reeve Knives. This model lives up to that name with several improvements over past models made during the last 30 years of Chris Reeve production. This version comes with a stonewashed, CPM-S45VN Tanto blade and blasted titanium handles with Black canvas Micarta inlays.

Blade: The stonewashed S45VN blade of the Inkosi is stronger, introducing CRK's Large Hollow Grind technology which is a perfect blend of flat grind and hollow grind. This delivers the strength of a flat grind and proven sharpening longevity and cutting performance of the hollow grind. The blade deploys with dual titanium thumb lugs standard on over-sized, twin phosphor bronze washers with larger grease pockets (less surface area friction). The washer diameter is wider than the blade ensuring zero sideways play. It also implements a larger pivot and stop pin for added strength. The Tanto profile blade enhances tip strength and piercing performance as well.

Handle: A full titanium frame has ergonomic finger grooves and Black Canvas Micarta inlays for a pleasurable gripping experience. Other improvements (ceramic ball end lock) provide a lifetime of consistent lockup and changes to the pocket clip eliminating pressure on the lock bar make it the Chief of pocket knives. The Inkosi is the representation of what customers have come to expect from Chris Reeve Knives.
