Chris Reeve Left Hand Large Sebenza 21 Micarta Tanto Blade

Brand new direct from Chris Reeve Knives this Left Handed Large Sebenza 21 is outfitted with Micarta Inlays and an impressive Tanto Blade. The size, shape and build of the Sebenza 21 is proven and continues to be one of the most relied upon pocket knives in America.

Blade: The CPM-S35VN blade delivers 3.5 inches of polished, razor sharp cutting edge. This steel is tough, wear resistant and relatively easy to sharpen and maintain. The hollow grind provides optimal sharpness while the stonewashed finish hides wear from use. A thumb ramp on the spine has perfect jimping, nearly an inch and perfect placement. The rest of the spine is crowned, smooth and polished. This version features a piercing tanto style point tip for tackling the toughest jobs. It operates on a pivot system using oversized bronze washers with grease-filled pockets for smooth, no friction operation. Lock up is always solid and reliable. 

Handle: Two thick slabs of titanium feature chamfered edges and Black Canvas Micarta inlays for a smooth, comfortable grip. Forward cutouts allow the user access to the frame locking mechanism and a comfortable place for fingers to rest. Both pieces are entirely sandblasted creating a matte grey appearance with very fine texturing. The Integral Frame Lock was created by Chris Reeve and continues to be a staple in the knife making industry. It's reliable, easy to use and virtually maintenance free. Construction is completed with titanium hardware comes including the silver barrel spacer and lanyard-attached spacer at the end. Also included is a single tube of fluorinated grease, Allen wrench, microfiber cloth and information cards.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
