Details

The Chris Reeve Pacific fixed blade is a supremely badass tactical or outdoor utility tool. Built to be as powerful as the fine men and women who call Ft. Lewis, WA, 1SFG(A)'s theater of operations in the Asian Pacific home. This is a Reeve/Harsey collaborative civilian version of the knife created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne).

Brand new directly from Chris Reeve Knives, USA.

Blade: Big, beefy straight at ya clip point style hollow ground to insane sharpness offering its lucky user around five inches of hard working plain cutting edge with a section of serrated edge near the handle to make quick work of webbing and other fibrous materials. Its thick, full tang construction is crafted from high quality, American CPM S35VN steel that Chris Reeve helped develop with Crucible. CPM-S35VN offers a blend of qualities that make it an excellent choice for this hard use fixed blade. This one is Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Gun Kote finished for some of the finest non-reflective, non-flaking steel coatings known to man. It will take a beating and keep on ticking. It has a vertical wide jimped thumb ramp for comfort coupled with a forward choil for fine, detailed cutting tasks. It will truly serve you well no matter the competition.

Handle: Black canvas Micarta handle scales were chosen for their ability to hold up and give its user grip in any weather condition, any environment. They are textured, durable and have an outstanding palm swell in the middle to wrap your fist around. A partial extension of the steel near the bottom of the handle creates a glass breaker point and a lanyard hole with attached foliage green cordage.

Carries via a USA Made, MOLLE-style, MultiCam Nylon sheath with CRK goodies and Certificate of Authenticity.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
