Blade: Made in a utilitarian drop point profile, the W2 blade has a high hollow grind for razor-like slicing while maintaining solid durability. A half-length swedge tapers the tip to a fine point for piercing and detail work. Jimping on the spine and a pronounced index guard offers added security in use. While being perfectly capable of heavy work the blade is finished with a custom Hamon traditionally seen on Japanese knives and swords. This custom touch offers a unique style perfect for any collection.
Handle: Attached to the full tang blade with stainless steel pins the green canvas Micarta handles have a rugged look with visual appeal for collectors. Comfortably contoured, the polished scales are durable and ready for use with a pommel swell offering added control and security in the grip.
W2 Tool Steel: W2 is a Water hardening tool steel popular with custom knife makers, beginners and seasoned experts alike. Maximum working hardness is in 63-65 HrC, W2 has good edge holding and cutting performance with a thin edge and moderate toughness depending on the heat treatment. High carbon, low chromium gives no added corrosion resistance. Maintain accordingly.
