Chuck Richards' motto is "We make high quality knives and tools as tough as scientifically possible." The Counselor 2.0 titanium frame lock folder is an excellent example of this credo. A deceptively simple design, the ergonomic Counselor is built tough with a robust titanium frame lock, thick, linerless Carbon Fiber front scale and saber ground CPM 3V blade. This is a tool that was built for use but designed to be comfortable and carried every day.

Blade: The subtle drop point blade is made from CPM 3V tool steel in a robust saber grind making the Counselor a beefy, reliable, every day cutting tool. The blade has a two-tone finish with bead blast grinds and hand rubbed satin flats. The blade opens smooth on phosphor bronze washers via a stepped titanium thumb stud. Professionally heat and cryo treated by Peters' Heat Treat for optimal performance this beefy blade comes razor sharp.

Handle: Elegant in its simplicity the Counselor has ergonomic handles made from two slabs, one smooth, lightweight Carbon Fiber the other Titanium, that form the open back construction. The titanium side is also the integral frame lock mechanism that is reliable and smooth. The frame is equipped with a Hinderer-style Lock Bar Stabilizer and the handles are rounded out with a single titanium barrel spacer, inline lanyard pin and hidden screw, 3D machined titanium pocket clip.

CPM 3V:  is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
