Based on the Rustic Gent, the CIVIVI Appalachian Drifter II is the next evolution of the design, retaining the timeless style and excellent performance of the original with an upgrade to liner lock construction. The iconic clip point blade and sweeping handle make this a great user, while the bolsters handle design and excellent fit and finish make this an ideal dress carry blade. This version comes with a satin S35VN blade and carbon fiber bolstered dark brown matrix Micarta handle.

Blade: Made from satin finished CPM-S35VN stainless steel, the blade is executed in a hollow ground, Bowie style clip point that offers excellent performance in both piercing and slicing. Despite the stylish look, this blade has long been used by hunters and is a utilitarian profile capable of handling both fine work and heavy use. Dual fullers on the blade enhance the aesthetics while offering an easy way to open the blade with two hands or utilize the top flipper tab for fast, smooth front flipper deployment on the caged ceramic bearing pivot.

Handle: Stainless steel liners house the blade and support handsome matrix (burlap) Micarta handle scales with stylish carbon fiber bolsters for a modern classic look. Micarta offers modern performance along with the liner lock mechanism which is smooth in operation with solid, secure lockup. Construction is completed with stainless Torx hardware and a partial back spacer with inline lanyard attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, stainless steel deep carry clip.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20%, with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
