The CIVIVI Cogent is a full-size EDC folder with tactical DNA and fidget friendly button lock flipper operation. A relatively thin stock paired with flat ground 14C28N offers great cutting performance for daily use with a generous handle that is comfortable and secure. This version comes with a partially serrated, black stonewashed 14C28N blade and natural (translucent Jade green) G10 handle.

Blade: Nearly full flat ground the straight clip point blade has a strong, piercing tip and good geometry for all your slicing tasks with partial serrations for tough, fibrous materials. The caged ceramic bearing pivot delivers smooth operation with fast flipper deployment. The flipper tab guard and spine jimping give plenty of control and security in use. Non-reflective and discreet, the black stonewashed finish hides wear well.

Handle: Stainless liners support textured G10 scales for modern performance and a solid grip. Milled chamfers and traction milling give added security, while the rock solid button lock makes for fast operation and safe use.

Carries via a reversible stainless-steel deep carry clip.

Sandvik 14C28N: 13C26 modified with more chromium and nitrogen added for higher hardness and improved corrosion resistance. Like 13C26, 14C28N is well-balanced with good toughness, corrosion resistance and stability for a fine, razor edge. Edge retention is higher than carbon steel, with similar toughness and the benefit of being stainless.
