Polish custom knife maker Maciej Torbé has partnered with CIVIVI to produce another of his iconic fixed blade projects, the Kepler. Like his Planck neck knife, the Kepler has impressive visual appeal while retaining a functional and ergonomic design that is ready for use. This version has a satin finished 9Cr18MoV stainless steel blade and tan G10 handle scales.

Brand new, direct from CIVIVI Knives.

Blade: This modified sheepsfoot blade, reminiscent of the classic rigging knife used by sailors, is made from stout 4 mm thick satin finished 9Cr18MoV stainless steel with a high saber grind that provides a solid balance of durability and slicing power. Thanks to the spine swedge the modified sheepsfoot has plenty of point for piercing and detail work while the plain edge offers solid performance for a variety of cutting tasks. Jimping on the spine provides traction for added leverage in heavy use.

Handle: With the full tang spine riding proud to chamfered and contoured G10 scales the handle of the Kepler has a great feel in the hand. A distal taper and deep index cutout allow for a solid and secure grip while retaining the versatility of multiple grip options. A hole at the pommel allows for attachment of the included paracord lanyard and stainless hardware rounds out the construction.

Carries via a molded Kydex sheath with Bob Terzuola designed T-Clip.

9Cr18MoV: Chinese equivalent of 440B with enhanced performance from modified composition. Qualities include high corrosion resistance and decent toughness with finer grain for a sharper edge and moderate edge retention.
