Blade: The steep edge of the 9Cr18MoV stainless steel blade comes straight from the Japanese Kiridashi carving knife and excels at the fine, controlled cuts necessary in woodworking and any number of utility tasks. A black stonewashed finish provides a discreetly non-reflective finish that hides wear and looks great. The rounded forward swedge is an ideal place for index finger placement for added control. Riding smooth on the ceramic ball bearing pivot this detent slip joint deploys via a streamline top flipper with jimping for traction and easy one or two-hand operation. 

Handle: Inset stainless steel liners support the peel-ply textured G10 scales and house the detent slip joint mechanism that holds the blade in position for non-locking use and carry. Compact and slim, the handle disappears in the pocket for carry while offering a secure grip and stylish lines. The open back construction delivers a sub-1.5 ounce weight and easy access for cleaning and maintenance.

9Cr18MoV: Chinese equivalent of 440B with enhanced performance from modified composition. Qualities include high corrosion resistance and decent toughness, with finer grain for a sharper edge and moderate edge retention.
