Inspired by French knife-maker Michel Achez the Cold Steel Drop Forged Hunter is simple, functional, and tough as nails. In other words, this is a knife made for hunters. This knife has the classic design of an integral knife and is drop forged from High Carbon 52100. The new version has some modern conveniences added for enhanced performance including a weatherproof black powder coating and Secure-Ex sheath.

The Blade: Drop forged from High Carbon 52100 the blade is heat treated to Rockwell hardness of 58-59 for exceptional toughness while still offering great cutting performance. The blade is tall with a full flat grind and tapers to the point delivering both slicing and piercing performance. Black powder coating provides corrosion resistance and protection against wear while still allowing the desirable properties of 52100 to shine through. Tough, sharp and ready for serious use.

The Handle: The knife being drop forged as a solid piece of 52100 for a bomb-proof build. The ergonomic handle has an integral finger guard and offers a secure and comfortable grip even in thick gloves and sports the same durable powder coat finish.

Carries via a Secure-Ex sheath with removable nylon drop loop.
