The AK47 series designed by Andrew Demko is always popular with military and law enforcement with the deep finger grooves, guard and exposed pommel that is fundamental to its tactical DNA. Throw in This version comes with Flat Earth brown G10 scales and a DLC coated, hollow ground, CPM S35VN blade.

Blade: The AK-47 has a wide, clip point blade that has a deep, tall hollow grind that leaves plenty of strength at the spine with a thin slicing cutting edge. CPM S35VN is utilized for an excellent balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and toughness with a black DLC coating that offers a discreet, non-reflective and corrosion resistant finish. The blade opens smoothly on bronze washers via the ambidextrous thumb disk/pocket hook opener.

Handle: Extra coarse, Flat Earth brown G10 handle slabs are milled with prominent finger grooves for enhanced security and house the rock solid Tri-Ad back lock, one of the strongest in the industry. A black coated aluminum backspacer extends from the pommel for use as an impact device. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via tip-up only, left- or right- hand stainless steel pocket clips.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
