Cold Steel Traditional Gentleman's Stockman Jigged Bone Slip Joint Folder
Considered a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern, the Stockman shares several similarities in the design. Cold Steel offers the Gentleman's Stockman, a medium size version of the pattern, with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades, Spey and Sheepsfoot. This version comes with jigged bone covers, polished stainless steel blades and polished nickel silver bolsters.
Brand new directly from Cold Steel.
Blade: The 8Cr13MoV stainless-steel blades come finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous scalloped nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a full flat grind for slicing performance and durability.
Handle: Polished and grooved nickel silver bolsters frame jigged bone covers for a rugged look and tactile feel. A traditional material, polished bone has good durability and weather resistance with timeless appeal. The sturdy back springs deliver simple, smooth slip joint operation for safe use.
8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with a good balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and takes a razor sharp edge with ease. Edge holding is relatively low.
