Avid outdoor adventurer, bushcrafter and survivalist Tony Lennartz designed the German Expedition Knife GEK 2000 as his ideal cutting tool. The Belgian Bowie knife from Condor delivers a modified version of the GEK with the same Bowie style clip point blade and a curving ergonomic handle inspired by historic Belgian saber design. The combination provides a stout, capable tool for a variety of tasks.

Blade: The clip point blade comes with a strong high saber grind and matte gray blasted finish for discreet use. The long clip point swedge enhances piercing performance and allow for high level control for fine work, while jimping on the spine delivers traction for added security.

Handle: Steel pins attach canvas Micarta scales to the full tang. The contoured handle is comfortable in extended use with milling, jimping and the blasted Micarta providing a secure grip while delivering speed in the hand. Leveraging the thumb ramp, guard, and pommel puts the handle and blade inline for piercing and allows for a solid grip for snap cuts.

Carries via a handcrafted welted leather belt sheath.

1075 Carbon Steel: A simple carbon steel used by production and custom knife makers. Low wear resistance (edge retention) due to low carbide content. Good toughness at lower hardness and easy to sharpen to a fine edge. Good performance when properly heat treated. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
