Craig Camerer Custom Balisong Elmax and Carbon Fiber

This balisong is brand new direct from maker Craig Camerer.

The Blade: Craig crafted this beautiful clip point using superclean Bohler Elmax premium wear resistant steel. It's known for its stainless properties as well as edge retention. Craig formed this one into a super pointy clip point style blade, hollow ground and upper swedged.  This one was given a gleaming satin finish and polished spine. It actually breezes along on a set of ball bearing pivot systems for buttery smooth flipping. Absolutely stunning blade on this Bali.

The Handle: Full length titanium liners provide the support on this piece. What Craig comfortably contoured and secured to them are the real stars of the show. These scales, wow. Simply stunning. Each one is an individual piece of carbon fiber with intricate layers of material woven into eye-popping patterns. They're positioned perfectly with Torx screw construction. This balisong would be considered "sandwich" construction as it is built in layers and not a single piece of material. The construction is "open" meaning you can see all the way thru with two barrel spacers keeping things together. The handle is substantial, but of course lightweight. It has great thickness felt immediately that you don't find in production balisongs. The open air construction will also be a cinch to keep clean. One of the barrel spacers is connected to the knife's spring latch locking mechanism. These are great and easy to use. Simply squeeze the handle to "pop" the latch out to open or close. It operates the same to lock the knife open and closed.
