Details

The Continuum is a new "Mid-Tech" balisong design from maker Craig Camerer. It is actually much more custom than production as the blade is hand ground by Mike Irie with milled, drilled and finished the water-jet cut handles. Everything is then hand finished by Craig for a truly custom feel. This piece is a highly functional work of art sure to be a standout in your collection. The skeletonized handles are channel milled for an integral construction with machined grooves and holes for weight reduction and traction in the hand. The blade is stonewashed CPM-154 while the handles are acid washed and tumbled.

Brand new direct from maker.

Blade: Craig fashioned this large-bellied spear point blade from CPM-154, a well balanced, modern stainless steel with a stonewashed finish that hides wear from use. The blade is equipped with a deep hollow grind and top swedge for excellent slicing and piercing performance if you choose to use it. The spine of the blade is crowned to the swedge for a truly custom feel. Both pivots on the tang utilize micro ball bearings for optimal buttery smooth operation. Fashioned and fit perfectly with zero play in all directions.

Handle: The handles of the Continuum are marvelous. The handles are channel milled from billets of titanium for a minimalist integral construction. Weight reduction is one thing, but the grip it adds provides plenty of traction for cycling and use. Nothing unnecessary is added keeping this knife perfectly balanced in weight. The handles have been given a darker distressed finish that offers a subtle contrast to the blade while hiding wear from carry. A hammer textured titanium latch and pin keep the handle securely open or closed for use or carry respectively.

CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
