The skeletonized handle has thirteen steps of machined lightening holes placed to perfection moving up the handle to the beautiful W2 Spear Point blade with unique Hamon pattern.

Blade: Craig fashioned this large-bellied spear from his W2 Tool Steel with a custom Hamon pattern that's absolutely stunning to behold. The rest of the blade is polished for a nice contrast with a deep hollow grind, compound ground tip and top swedge for performance. The spine of the blade is crowned to the swedge for a truly custom feel. Both pivots on the tang utilize micro ball bearings for optimal buttery smooth operation. Fashioned and fit perfectly with zero play in all directions. 

Handle: The Skeleton handle is marvelous. Weight reduction is one thing, but the grip it adds to the overall experience is quite nice. Completely open titanium construction has a clean effect that you can see right through. Nothing unnecessary is added keeping this knife perfectly balanced in weight. The handles have been heavily tumbled for a distressed look that complements the organic feel of the Hamon on the blade. Craig put a light orange peel finish on the interior of the handle a discreet custom element. A satin finished titanium latch and pin keep the handle securely open or closed for use or storage respectively.

W2 Tool Steel: W2 is a Water hardening tool steel popular with custom knife makers, beginners and seasoned experts alike. Maximum working hardness is in 63-65 HrC, W2 has good edge holding and cutting performance with a thin edge and moderate toughness depending on the heat treatment. High carbon, low chromium gives no added corrosion resistance. Maintain accordingly.
