The CRKT Flat Out is an excellent example of Matthew's commitment to precision in design. Powered by the OutBurst Assisted Opening mechanism the Flat Out is a high-speed, low-drag gentleman's every day carry that looks as good as it cuts. The handles are elegantly satin finished with some subtle milled steps and house the fine, slender stainless steel blade and form the solid, integral liner lock mechanism. An exercise in minimalism, the Flat Out is refined down to the essentials.

Blade: A simple, utilitarian drop point blade is made from thin stock with a shallow hollow grind that delivers a good balance of durability and slicing performance with a fine piercing point for detailed cutting tasks. The blade opens via a stepped thumb stud with amazing speed thanks to the OutBurst Assisted Opening mechanism. The two-tone satin finish of the blade enhances performance and adds to the stylish look.

Handle: The handles are made from solid stainless steel with a horizontal satin finish delivering a stylish look. The slim handle design carries very well and offers a solid grip thanks to generous finger grooves which also offer a prominent index finger guard. The simple and solid integral frame lock offers reliable lock up and smooth operation.

8Cr13MoV Stainless: is a highly corrosion resistant stainless steel with decent toughness and edge holding. This steel is in the same class as 440B and AUS-8.
