Details
The Forged By War series RASP or Rescue and Special Purpose is a robust, overbuilt frame lock flipper designed to be a workhorse folder that can take some heavy use. The simple design packs a powerful Wharncliffe blade in a utilitarian steel frame lock framework. If it's tough enough for designed and former Green Beret, Retired Sergeant Major Darrin Sirois, the RASP is good enough for me.
Brand new product directly from Columbia River Knife & Tool.
The Blade: The modified Wharncliffe blade pairs the powerful cutting power of a standard Wharncliffe with the enhanced slicing performance of the added subtle recurve edge. A high height saber grind gives the robust blade of the RASP powerful cutting performance while retaining strength in the blade. The AUS-8 blade is tough, easy to sharpen to a razor sharp edge and excellent corrosion resistance for a low maintenance cutting tool. An IKBS bearing pivot gives fast smooth deployment either via the dual thumb studs or the integral flipper tab.
The Handle: The handles are solid stainless steel with a heavy stonewash finish, chamfered edges and a solid frame lock mechanism for secure lock up. Jimping at the rear of the handle enhances security in hand as well as providing sight free indexing in the hand.
The knife carries via tip-down, right hand stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.
