CRKT Septimo Tactical Black Tanto Flipper 7050

The Septimo (Arcane) tactical black Flipper by CRKT was designed by US Army Special Forces Veteran Jeremy Valdez to be the first folder in the Forged By War lineup. Jeremy took inspiration from a harrowing scenario in which he had to free a soldier from debris in a helicopter crash. He was successful, but feels he could have used a knife like the Septimo at the time that would have performed better.

The Blade: A black oxide finished tactical piercing tanto is right for the toughest jobs. Its straight utility cutting edge runs into an oversized Veff serration near the flipper to perform as a belt or strap cutter should an emergency situation arise. A humped window cut out can be used to open the blade, but its primary opener is an integral flipper tab. Quick, easy access to the cutting tool is at the forefront with the flipper creating a handy guard for your fingers. Tough, tactical and easy to sharpen in the field.

The Handle: Lightweight, durable 6061 T6 black aluminum handle scales are formed with perfectly placed finger grooves and textured thermoplastic rubber inserts for grip. Strong black coated stainless steel liners provide the base and a solid liner locking mechanism on one side. It has, for the most part, open construction which is ideal for cleaning/maintenance in the field. At its butt end is a small lanyard loop back spacer. The Septimo flipper ships with a tip up carry pocket clip that can be reversed for left hand users.
