Designer Ken Onion wanted a folding knife built around Field Strip technology that was attractive, low-profile and highly functional. The Slacker meets all those requirements with style to spare. The anodized aluminum handles and inset liner lock construction keeps the Slacker light weight yet durable while the satin finished, full flat ground blade offers ease of maintenance and well balanced, every day use performance. Field Strip construction technology makes disassembly and cleaning a breeze.

Blade: The sub-3.5" blade delivers plenty of cutting performance for every day tasks thanks to the satin finished full flat grind and utilitarian drop point profile. The slender blade is maneuverable for tasks like slicing and coring an apple but robust enough for breaking down boxes or other heavier tasks. The blade deploys on washers via the integral flipper tab for fast, smooth operation.

Handle: Contoured and diamond textured Aluminum handle scales are comfortable and secure in the hand. Disassembly is simple with the Field Strip system: flip the tab at the pivot and rotate the gear wheel at the pommel end to take the knife apart. Clean and reassemble by reversing the process. An inset stainless steel liner delivers secure lock up and smooth, simple operation.

1.4116 Stainless: is a medium carbon content steel with a high chromium content that makes it very rust resistant. It is not hard to sharpen and exhibits better wear resistance than 420HC.
