Details
New from Curtiss Knives comes the watch pocket portable ODT (Original Dog Tag) Flipper. Quite the usable blade, with its dual sharpened edges, when called upon in a tiny tank package. In the closed position, the ODT is built to the exact dimensions of a regulation dog tag.
The Blade: Squared off and exactly one inch top to bottom, left to right and heavily stonewash finished. Two of the three sides are sharpened for daily utility cutting, the bottom and front edges. A small, integral lever protrudes from the top of the handle and acts as a flipper opening mechanism. The blade does ride along on a caged bearings system aiding in smooth operation of the ODT. It does require a seasoned flipping finger and some wrist action to deploy quickly in the beginning. Action should increase as the user gets used to the function and the ODT breaks in over time.
The Handle: Two thick slabs of titanium have a three groove ball end mill feature and are blasted/dark stonewash finished. It features Dave's S.P.O.T. Pivot system and dependable frame locking mechanism. It's secured by shouldered standoffs and stop pin with bronze anodized hardware. There is no pocket clip on the ODT Flipper. It is intended to be carried in the watch pocket of your jeans.
