Compact and capable the Dawson Deep Notch is a purpose built skinning knife with a big bellied blade and intuitive design that melts into the hand. Thanks to the small size, ergonomic design and Kydex pocket sheath the Deep Notch lends itself to a variety of tasks. Dawson utilizes American-made, CPM 3V powder metallurgy steel which offers exceptional toughness with edge holding up to three times longer than D2 and a clear Cerakote coating for corrosion resistance. This version comes with gold fleck shred carbon fiber handle scales and an Arizona Copper finished blade.

Blade: Differentially heat treated for toughness and performance, the American CPM 3V blade come in a classic drop point profile with a high hollow grind and recurve edge perfectly suited to skinning tasks. Jimping at the tip gives control for fine work while spine jimping near the handle gives traction for powerful cuts. Arizona Copper is a proprietary finish that gives each blade a unique, copper like finish while also being surprisingly non-reflective for discreet use.

Handle: Lightweight, high performance shred carbon fiber scales are attached with black stainless steel hardware to the full tang for a rock solid handle. Matte finished for a discreet look, the scales have gold flecks for a touch of class. A pinky hook pairs with the deep notch index choil, blasted texture and milled grooves for a very secure grip while the contoured edges are comfortable during extended use. Each knife is 100% hand made and includes a Certificate of Authenticity with spec sheet and serial number.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex pocket sheath.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention. Dawson's differential heat treatment gives a harder edge for performance and a softer spine for added for toughness and flexibility.
