Compact and capable the Dawson Field Guide provides a full sized handle with a compact, powerful blade that comes in at 2.5 inches for easy carry. Camping, hunting, skinning, or daily carry, the Field Guide is ready to handle it, all in a sub 5.5 ounce package. Dawson utilizes American-made, CPM 3V powder metallurgy steel which offers exceptional toughness with edge holding up to three times longer than D2 and a clear Cerakote coating for corrosion resistance. This version comes with layered orange and black G10 handle scales and an Arizona Copper finished blade.

Blade: Differentially heat treated for toughness and performance, the American CPM 3V blade come in a classic drop point profile with a high hollow grind and wide recurve edge perfectly suited to skinning tasks as well as daily utility. Spine jimping gives control for fine work while the jimped guard and deep choil provides security in use. Arizona Copper is a proprietary finish that gives each blade a unique, copper like finish while also being surprisingly non-reflective for discreet use.

Handle: For a rock solid, secure and comfortable grip you have a full sized handle of thick, matte blasted G10 scales attached with black stainless steel hardware to the full tang over orange liners. Deep milled grooves and blasted texture pair with the deep index choil for a secure, high traction grip. Contoured edges add comfort in this versatile handle design. Each knife is 100% hand made and includes a Certificate of Authenticity with spec sheet and serial number.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex pocket sheath.

CPM-3V: A high carbon alloy steel that is extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. Care and maintain is required. High toughness translates to a stable edge that can be ground thin for enhanced performance. 3V has good edge retention, approaching VG-10 and CPM-154, with more than 3x the toughness.
