The DPx Gear HEST Assault 6 was designed by Robert Young Pelton to be a survival knife that can withstand the riggors of day in day out hard use. Ideal for both the demands of bushcraft and wilderness survival use, the HEST 6 also comes into play as a self defense weapon and edged tool. The Blade: Black TiCN PVD Coated then stonewashed sword shaped blade has a swedge that runs from the thumb ramp to the tip. Made from Niobium-enhanced stainless tool steel with a high temper to provide the ultimate combination of cutting ability, strength and durability. Fine serrations close to the handle act like a saw and are extremely sharp. For increased utility, the jimping on the thumb ramp is designed to strip electrical wire of the three most common gauges.

The Handle: The ergonomic handle was designed to provide hours of intense usage without blistering the hands. Textured G10 handle scales conform to the hand with finger grooves cut at just the right angle. The handle can be used as an emergency hidden storage compartment that can be revealed by removing the 304 hybrid slotted/Allen handle screws.

The Sheath: Black CORDURA® MOLLE sheath has Velcro secured front storage pocket for fire starter or sharpener and Nylon webbing snap closed tether to secure the knife.
