Based on the traditional Filipino Karambit the Emerson Folding Karambit is a modern take on this indigenous design executed in Emerson's modern styling. The Karambit Flipper retains all the same features as the original now with a bearing pivot flipper operation in addition to the blade hole and Wave feature opening. The robust, chisel ground 154CM blade is durable enough to handle whatever comes your way and comes razor sharp. A newly designed, reinforced tip delivers powerful piercing with added durability. This variant has black coated plain edge blade with black standoff construction.

Blade: The blade of the Folding Karambit Flipper is made from American 154CM in a chisel ground hawk-bill profile, traditional to the design. This grind and blade shape delivers a razor sharp cutting edge and exceptional durability thanks to the full thickness at the spine. The reinforced tip delivers powerful piercing with optimal penetration and durability while the curving edge pulls material into the cut for maximum efficiency. Discreetly non-reflective the black coating also enhances corrosion resistance and holds up well against everyday wear from use. Deploying ambidextrously via the flipper tab, blade hole or Wave feature, the blade rides smoothly on the ball bearing pivot.

Handle: Emerson knife handles have a "no nonsense" design with durable titanium liners and course, black G10 handle scales that offer superb traction in the hand in the most adverse conditions. One liner forms the locking mechanism that is reliable and easy to operate even in gloves. The large ring end of the handle facilitates traditional Karambit styles and allows for exceptional retention of the knife in adverse scenarios. This version has an open back construction with standoffs for ease of cleaning and maintenance.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up black oxide pocket clip for ambidextrous deployment.
